Dear friends,

We have so missed being able to be with all of you in the theater. Hopefully, we can reschedule the Gershwin tribute show for next year. But, for right now, our thoughts are on our summer variety show, “American Jukebox.” We had originally planned it for the weekend of July 18, but given the state of our city and nation right now, we feel it is wiser to postpone the show until the weekend of Aug. 8.  

Safety is our most important concern right now, and we are making several changes to ensure you can safely attend our August show. 

*First, to ensure social distancing, we are only allowing 25% of the total capacity of the theater to be sold. Only every other row will be used, and there will be 3 seats between parties. To make sure that occurs, all seats will be general admission. This allows the ushers to help you find seats that fulfill this requirement. Also, though masks will not be required, masks will be available at the door if you would like one.

*Next, we will perform the show with no intermission. This minimizes people standing in lines for the restroom and concessions. In addition, we will not have printed programs. 

*The entire theater (including restrooms) will be sterilized before and between performances.

*And, finally, because fewer guests are allowed in the theater for each performance, we are adding a performance. 

Showtimes will be: 

Saturday, Aug. 8 @2 p.m. and 7 p.m. 

Sunday, Aug. 9 @3 p.m. 

*Please note: If you have already bought tickets for the July show, those tickets will be automatically refunded. You do not need to do anything to receive this refund. You can expect to see this refund back on your card sometime in the next 30 days. If you have any questions about the refund process, you can email the Music Hall at info@charlestonmusichall.com, and they will respond as soon as they can. Please note: the box office is still closed due to COVID, but they are checking voicemails and will call you back if you leave a voicemail.

Tickets for the new show dates will go on sale if and when the government says that gatherings of this size are allowed.  And we will email you the minute that happens!!  So keep checking your email for updates.

Most importantly, we hope you are all well and staying safe. If you feel comfortable joining us in celebrating the music of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, we hope to see you in August for “American Jukebox.”
